David C. Whiteman
David Whiteman is a medical epidemiologist with a special interest in the causes, diagnosis, prevention and treatment of cancer. He received his medical degree from the University of Queensland in 1991. Following a PhD in cancer epidemiology at QIMR (1997) and specialist training in Public Health Medicine, David was invited to the University of Oxford as a Nuffield Medical Research Fellow to work in several areas of cancer research. He returned to Queensland in 2000, where he is currently studying the causes of melanoma and diseases of the oesophagus, ovary and skin.
