Belinda A Henry
Dr Henry is a Senior Lecturer and is Head of the Metabolic Neuroendocrinology Group within the Metabolic Disease and Obesity Program, Monash Biomedicine Discovery Institute and Department of Physiology at Monash University. She has expertise in large animal neuroendocrinology. Her specific interest being the neuroendocrine control of body weight with a particular emphasis on the endocrine and neural control of energy expenditure. In this regard, Dr Henry primarily focuses on the interface between stress, the hypothalamo-pituitary-adrenal axis and obesity. Her research is driven towards the identification of novel targets for the development of anti-obesity therapies. Dr Henry is chair of Australian Women in Endocrinology and has been a member of the Endocrine Society of Australia council since 2010.
